This is all of the halls and dungeons of the building. Careful on the staircases, they tend to change.

Hurt or Sick? Come here to get checked out by Madam Pomfrey. She tends not to ask a lot of questions, but some of the potions can be rather disgusting.

Don't get lost in the stacks, there are plenty of books here, from schoolbooks to fiction. Be careful though, the librarian can be kind of strict.

Sub-board: restricted section!!

Usually kept pretty clean. Make sure to steer clear of Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. Plenty of people use it to get away with various things, or just vent.

Nothing particularly special about them. They tend to be a little more of a mess than the girl's...

Not everyone knows where it is, but more do than before. It was used for Dumbledore's Army last year, now it's used more for secret student parties.

The twins used to know every single on that existed, Ginny learned at least that much from her brothers. Harry Ron and Hermione know of a few of them, and other students stumble upon them from time to time.

Off limits to students, although the occasional detention is dished out there.

It is about half a mile in diameter. It is home to a Giant Squid, grindylows, and a colony of Merpeople. The lake was also used as the site of the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament. The lake is very often cold.

Hagrid lives on the grounds, and this is his home. Harry, Hermione and Ron spend time down there when they can manage it, and Ginny does too occasionally, but not usually when they are there.

A rather shady pub managed by Aberforth Dumbledore

A sweetshop, owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, which is filled with "shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable". In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends.

Down in the cellar of the shop, amidst the boxes and wooden crates and known to only a select few people, is a trap door in the dusty floor - which opens to reveal a secret passageway to Hogwarts.

A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti), located ust off High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples. Cho Chang suggests it for her Valentine's Day date with Harry; somehow, he never seems to develop a desire to return

The only wizarding post office we ever hear of, where at least three hundred owls, from Great Grays to tiny Scops ("Local Deliveries Only"), wait to carry messages. They sit on shelves that are color-coded, depending on how fast you want your letter to get to its destination. It is also referred to as an "owl office"

Falsely rumored to be "the most haunted building in Britain," the Shrieking Shack is a favorite stop on any Hogsmeade visit. However, the wails that were once heard emanating from this creepy building were not in fact ghosts, but rather Remus Lupin transformed into a werewolf. The shack, in fact, was built when he came to Hogwarts, allowing him to transform a safe distance away from the other students. The shack cannot be broken into from the outside, though Fred and George have tried; it must be entered instead through a secret passageway, the mouth of which lies under the Whomping Willow. It was in this building that Harry first met and learned the identity of Sirius Black, and also where he later watched Voldemort kill Severus Snape

A well-known inn and a frequent haunt of Hogwarts students. It's warm and comfortable, is packed every time Harry goes in, and is a great spot to drink butterbeer, although they also serve firewhisky, gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella. The owner of the bar is Madam Rosmerta, who Ron enjoys watching.
