Intelligent[/i] Hermione has often been described as the brightest young witch of her age. During the sorting ceremony the Sorting Hat considered sorting her into Ravenclaw but ultimately decided that Gryffindor was the best house for her. She is extremely intelligent and during her first few years at Hogwarts her main focus was her studies and she did not sway from that focus. Even before she began her education at Hogwarts, she practised some simple spells, which all worked. She is very resourceful Hermione is usually the first to master any spell, and is capable of using spells beyond her educational. Hermione has a mastery of logic that most wizards lack and is eager to learn about the world around her. However, because of her intelligence and eagerness she is often seen as attention seeking or as an outsider.
Bravery Hermione has a lot more courage than it seems at first glance. Despite her reluctance to break the rules she is still quite adventurous. She is able to face uncertainty without being overcome by fear. She can stand in the midst of her fears and not panic.

History: Hermione Jean Granger was born on September 19th, 1979 to her parents Jean and Nicholas Granger. Both of her parents are Muggle dentists and make a decent living with their professions. Before she was accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hermione attended a Muggle school. She has always been an intelligent student, even in the Muggle setting, and excelled in her primary studies. When she was accepted to Hogwarts, she had to wait an extra year to go because she was only 10, and students have to be the age of 11 to be able to attend the school. Her parents were surprised and supportive of her magical abilities and encouraged her to excel in the magical world. They even went to Diagon Alley with her the first time.
Hermione was sorted into Gryffindor, though the sorting hat informed her she would do well in Ravenclaw. It was, however, Hermione’s choice to be in Gryffindor and she excelled there. Hermione was always very enthusiastic about her studies and because of this she made very few friends. She met Ron and Harry on the Hogwarts Express and they had a rough time getting along. However, when a troll entered the castle she was rescued by Ron and Harry and from then on the trio has been very close.
Her friendship with Harry caused her next few years at Hogwarts to be very uneventful… not…
Because of her friendship with Harry, Hermione joined the fight against Voldemort and every years until this point has been very event filled and dangerous. And that isn’t likely to change anytime soon. Hermione has had top grades in everything since her first year… that also… isn’t likely to change anytime soon.
Hermione has mixed feeling about the elemental powers that have arisen. Naturally, she like everyone else was a bit jealous. She knew she would never have a chance since she was muggleborn but she was still extremely fascinated by these formally dormant abilities that some students seem to have. She tries to remain loyal to Harry but doesn’t quite agree with how he acts toward the situation as a whole. She knows that he just worries for those he cares about and she feels the same. She is concerned for Ginny, Neville, Luna and Tonks’s future. She knows that Voldemort will be after them. Hermione feels that Harry could be assuming too much. She tries to understand him but she is so captivated by the whole situation that she’s not sure what she should be doing and how she should react.

Kj walked down the steps into the dungeon. She wasn’t dreading her next lesson but she wasn’t very fond of the subject either. And, for the most part, it was the subject, not the teacher. Kj wasn’t easily intimidated, though Snape did intimidate her from time to time. She wasn’t necessarily afraid of him though. Just wary. She always tried to do her best in all her subjects but she didn’t have a knack for potions. Kj decided that she wasn’t going to set the mood for the rest of her lesson by dwelling on what she could and probably would do wrong today. She set her mind on being cheerful and optimistic. Hopefully that would make her lesson go well. Hopefully….
Kj quietly opened the door and walked in, trying to look confident. “Hello, Professor.” She said cheerfully. She always made an effort to greet her professors to be friendly or maybe it was so she might get a break from detention whenever she thought it was time for some fun… probably the latter… A smile crossed her face at the thought of it.
She looked around and took a seat toward the middle of the classroom. Hoping that maybe she wouldn’t be as easily noticed there. She pulled out some parchment to take notes and set it to the side with her quill and ink for now. After a few more moments of digging through her bag she found her potions book. As she looked up she noticed a pleasant looking woman at the front of the room with Snape. Hmmm… Wonder who that is…. she asked herself, her curious side taking over. She gave her a quick smile and went back to rearranging her things, waiting for class to start.
