Rom was walking randomly around the school. Dame and Julius were trying to win over some of the elementals, since they shared the common room. Johnny was doing some weirdo thing with Harry, or at least Johnny said he was. Bert and Lyla were hanging out, even though Bert wouldn't make a move. Sometimes that boy could be weird when it comes to the opposite sex.
Rom decided he would study. He hated studying, but if he and his friends were going to make their own magic school, then he’d have to know a lot about every subject. Rom shuffled through the shelves and pulled a random book out. Hogwarts A History… such a long book. He wouldn’t have to know about this school, but at the same time it was Magical history. Rom sat down and flipped to a random page and began reading.
Ugh so boring. Why couldn’t Bert come and then they could be bored together, or have another argument. That was always fun. Rom’s mind wondered from the book to Bert, to Lyla then the Elementals. He disliked Potter, because they were getting hurt and all. Rom just felt it made the elementals unique and cool.

Ginevra wandered around the library, picking up any and all books about the forbidden forest she could find. This would be so much easier if she could just ask Hermione. She didn't want the girl blabbling their plans to her parents, or worse, Harry. So she had to do it herself. She was pretty sure Malfoy wasn't about to sit around researching the forest to get to know it is was safe or not. The majority of her books were now floating behind her, as she looked for more. Quite honestly she had already grabbed more than she could carry.
When she felt she had enough for the moment she found a place on the floor, near a cluster of chairs and a boy who was reading Hogwarts: A History. She recognized the book, even open, considering how many times she had seen Hermione toting it about. She was sure the girl has read it about a hundred times by now. She started with a quill and a roll of parchment, ready to take any notes if she needed to. She wasn't sure what else they would need to be wary of.
As she read, she glanced up at the boy. He made her nervous. She knew he was from Gryffindor House. She wasn't sure where he stood and she did not need any crap right now. She just needed to figure out what the hell was going to rip them to shreds if they got too close to it. She was sure together they could take on what was thrown at them but they had no idea how to fight together as a single unit yet. They didn't need any more trouble than was absolutely neccessary.

Rom was so bored. Hogwarts, blah blah blah. Why couldn't he just drop the book, or be super smart? It was pretty much useless to continue. At least he learned a few interesting things. Such as Hermione didn't have the book all the time. Finally giving up he looked up. He had heard someone come on by. Hoping it was Bert or Johnny, Rom quickly looked around. It was someone he didn't know, but he recognized her, with her red hair and all. Of course he would recognize Ms. Fire Elemental anywhere. Ginerva Weasley or Gin was her real name. Very nice. At least he'd be doing something, like what Jules and Dame were. Their group did not want to he on the elementals' bad side, unless Potter was right and they turned evil, which he doubted since Dame told them all about elementals.
Rom quickly stood up and walked until he was beside her. She was unique. It was cool. Awesome.
"Yo, what up Gin? Name's Romulus Bryan, or Rom, or Rommie Boy. Either is fine. Need help? Always here," Rom quickly said. She probably wouldn't trust him since he an his friends were probably the only ones who ever trusted them being Gryffindors and most worshipping the Potter dude..

"Erm...Ginevra." She said, offering her name in return. She really was not comfortable with the nickname when she hardly knew this guy, not to mention he was a Gryffindor, and lately Gryffindor meant enemy. She just did not understand how they could go from perfectly cozy to being outright enemies in a split second. Over Potter's prejudice and a stupid assignment she got from Snape. "I'd rather not have any help. I need to memorize maps and locations and quite honestly whatever so-called help, and Gryffindor gives me is going to get back to Harry in one way or another. Quite frankly, I am done screaming myself raw ove rhis idiocracy." She said flatly, never looking up from the pages of the book. She did not need him snooping around trying to figure out where they were going to be training. She did not need Harry knowing she was allowing Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, and Blaise Zabini enough trust to train with them. They had been naive last year. How easy would it have been for one of the ACTUAL Death Eater children to have gotten into Dumbledore's army, figure out Harry's weaknesses and report to Voldemort. They had been so incredibly stupid. She was sure, by now, he learned the error in his thinking. He would make a big deal about training with 'a bunch of ruddy Death Eaters' and 'getting herself killed'. She rolled her eyes, without thinking about it, at the thought. She flipped the page in her book. Plants, harmless animals, but she had yet to find anything on predators, especially big nasty ones that wanted to kill anything it got close enough to. That's what this entire thing was about anyways. She sighed.[/blockquote]

Potter? She was worried about him telling that dude? Well it made sense since he did support Harry and his friends try to talk with Harry about this elemental stuff. Plus he was a Gryffindor. Him, Bert, and Lyla were probably the only three Gryffindors trying to gain the trust. Why? Rom had no idea and was wary about the idea since Dame was the one who came up with this plan. Rom did hate what Harry was foin but never questioned him because he was the boy who lived. Personally in Rom's opinion, the elementals were just more unique then the rest were. Rom believed that the elementals were just like the muggle-borns, just like Johnny. Just because they were of a particular defendant and because of it they were different, didn't mean that they were not humans or that they were evil.
"Ah don't worry about word getting to Harry, if I told him Dame and Jules would kill me, and I rather like living," Rom laughed. That would piss the two of them off if he lost an elementals trust, even though Rom still had no clue why. At least him and Bert were on the same page. He wouldn't want to attack the elementals because they were unique and very interesting, but he would trust them like he would any other person, not like Dame but kinda like Johnny or Jules.
"Have you met Damien or Julius? I mean they're Slytherins, and my best friends. My friends and I don't view you all as threats... Except maybe Damien, but that doesn't matter. Me, Bert, Lyla, Johnny, and Jules don't care about this ability, it just makes you unique Ginerva," Rom explained. She might have me Jules and Dame bit those two were as unfocused as ever. They probably were in the common room playing chess right now. Johnny was probably flirting up girls and Bert and Lyla, well they weren't getting anywhere. So basically, Rom was the only one doing something important.

"Oh, I wasn't so much worried of you telling him outright but accidents happen and I don't need the others to murder me because of my lack of forsight." She said, still not looking up from the pages of her book. She only had so much time, and so much motivation. She was not Hermione, she did not particularly enjoy research. She sighed, realizing she was coming off as a bit of a bitch. She was at her wits end with Harry, not to mention she got hit with another slicing jinx this mornign. Luckily it wasn't as bad as the first time. It had only knicked her hip and she managed to heal it back up herself without going to see Pomfrey. She had nearly stumbled into the whomping willow from the backlash of the spell though. She hadn't been able to catch a glimpse of who the hell would have followed her that far out on the grounds though.
"I have yet to network my way through Slytherin completely yet. I'm sure I've seen them around though." She said. Despite her conversation with Draco, she was still uneasy around Slytherins. She was still just a Lion in Snake's clothing, so she did not know they they accepted her. She knew had the tables turned Gryffindor house would not have done that. It was a shame really, they were supposed to be the noble, brave house. Not the house of bigoted morons. She took a deep breath, and flipped through a bunch of pages in her book. This stupid thing was so boring. They couldn't have just picked someplace safe, like the room of requirement. Of course, the forest gave them a bit more cover, not to mention more challenges.

"I understand Ginerva, because of what he did, makes it so you can't really be free. Probably won't ever trust me, but you know all us Gryffindors are like that, you know the attacking because you're different," Rom replied smiling widely still though he had no reason. He could never say he knew exactly how she felt since he had never been hunted down. Bu he had felt like he didn't belong, probably not right. Well he had never felt like that before, but he could guess how it felt and just imagining it was horrible.
"That's probably true, but if you see two idiots playing chess in the corner and making stupid moves, like moving a bishop across the board horizontally, you've found them. Do you junk if you see them that you could tell them I'm looking for them? I mean Dame and Jules have not been seen by me in Forever," Rom replied. Well at least later he could say that he actually spoke to the fire girl. Johnny's be so proud. Dame would be estatic, though he didn't want to befriend her because Dame said they should and everyone agreed, but because she was a lion at heart, and she was pretty cool.

"This is a much bigger issue then just being a little different." She said flatly. She could not understand how this boy could be that naive. Or maybe she was just being completely pessimistic. She did not really know but it was bothering her. It wasn't like she was an animagus or a metamorphmagus. She was an elemental. It was comepletely different. She had this power, ohsodangerouspower, brewing inside her and she did not know her limit. She could feel this pressue building inside her whenever anyone made her lose her temper. She did not know what it would take her for her to burst. She felt the raw energy building inside of her, and she had a funny feeling that the school would see devastation if she let even a little bit slip past her control when she was feeling that way. "I'll do what I can, but I'm not exactly a social butterfly these days." She said, finally looking up at the boy. She felt like she fit in better among Slytherins. They were less offended when she made snarky, bitchy comments that bubbled in her mouth when people annoyed her. She was a Gryffindor, ohsobraveandnoble, but she felt sometimes she could have made it in Slytherin. She wasn't sure how much of that was her, and how much was her changing from what happened in the chamber so many years ago now.[/blockquote]

"Oh yeah I know that. Doesn't make a difference to me anyways," Rom shrugged. She seemed alright especially under all this stress lately. He never had seen her before here, even if he had been here for only about three years, but he never paid much attention to what Harry was doing, or his friends. All Rom cared about was about Voldeort being defeated. Rom could be called apathetic at times only because he didn't do anything about the war, until about well he hasn't yet. He wants Voldemort to lose but he doesn't do anything about it. Either way, with what Ginny had been through she wa better than he expected. If Bert or Johnny betrayed him because of something he couldn't effect he would go insane; if he weren't already.
"Awesome, they'll be happy someone talks to them, they are awkward, much like me," Rom laughed, sounding much like a mad scientist just making a mad discovery. God he was odd, and wasn't showing his immature aide that his other friends knew. Yes Rom considered all Gryffindors friends until they prove themselves not friends. He was very trusting and that would most likely be the biggest part to his downfall eventually, but he was apathetic about that.

"I've been trying to mend all the relationships I can, but it's impossible. I don't even know what my own brother feels about this whole mess because of Harry. Freaking. Potter. Any time I go anywhere near Gryffindor I get practically attacked, or into a screaming match with Harry. So I'm done. Just. Done." She said, coming to the conclusion for the first time for herself. If they wanted to talk to her, they would come to her. If they cared about her, it wasn't always her job to make everything right and everyone happy. She was not that person anymore. She hadn't been for a long time. So many people say she had changed since getting her powers. It wasn't even just Harry. She knew that wasn't true, but she could see why they thought that. She realized that she had too many fair weather friends. No one to really be there for her when she was having problems, but constantly near her when everything was fine and dandy. She hadn't been the same since she got her power. She knew that, but she didn't see the negative side that everyone was claiming she had. She was standing up for herself, and not letting people manipulate her, or use her. This boy stunned her. At least there was some loyalty among Gryffindors. They weren't all back stabbing idiots, but h hadn't been here for that long so maybe he was just reacting to what he came into, rather than an actual change. "Slytherins? Awkward? That will be a first." She joked. Even in the common she had never seen a Slytherin act nervous or awkward. Always in control of a situation. Sure, they occasionally let loose but that was not the same as being awkward. If might be refreshing.[/blockquote]

"Don't worry about your brother, family normally sticks by family, even if they hate each other. You have have to love your family, but not your friends. Even if he doesn't like it or seem like he hates you, your brother I mean, he still loves you deep down," Rom replied seriously. He was just repeating what Johnny told him once, but Rom firmly believed it. Of course his family was horrible, except the fact they were kind enough to give Johnny and Lyla a place to live. Probably the only good thing his family did. Ron assumed that Johnny and Lyla would remain loyal to him if something like this happened and Bert disowned him. Seriously, Johnny was in the house for Loyal people, course he'd stay with Rom, and try to push them together again, but still stay with Rom.
He was a loyal person. He wouldn't betray his friends, well he might Dame, but none of the others. Rom wanted to punch Harry sometimes, but didn't since Harry could turn against him and he could be getting attacked as well. He did not want that. Plus Harry was fighting for what Rom believed in. Rom was sort of torn. But he went along with Dame just because everyone else did.
"Oh just you wait. Jules is more awkward then Dame, but they're a couple of goofballs. Easily make a conversation Awakward. Also they seem to come in at the wrong times, while a couple is kissing, while two people are fighting, when something really fragile occurs, they're always there," Rom laughed. Dame was a lot less fun than Jules, but they were both really cool. He just had to keep an eye on Dame, such a dark person he was.

"It's a little trickier than that. Harry....The only closer he could get to actually being family is if mum adopts him, or he were to marry into the family." She said flippantly. She slammed a book shut and tossed it away from her. Nothing she didn't already know about, before grabbing the next and cracking it open. "He's like a brother to Ron and spends most of the Hols with us at the burrow." She said, still not really looking up from her books. She should probably learn to do a speed reading spell or something because at this rate it would take forever for her to finish it. "That sounds odd for a Slytherin. They should be easy enough to spot though." She said with a shrug. She hadn't actually seen a lot of arguments break out in Slytheirn house. Which surprised her. She had figured it would be a constant power struggle. She had made a lot of assumptions about Slytheirn house that weren't exactly true, however. Like thinking she would be a Lion in Snakes clothing among the Slytherins. That wasn't it. Draco has assured her that they were accepted among Slytherin house, not only because of their powers but because Snape supported them. There was a strange type of loyalty among Slytheirn house that she had yet to understand. She was thankful for it, however. It made her life much easier.[/blockquote]
