Place of Residence: outside of hogwarts where do you live?
Birthplace: London England
Father's Name:Sirius Black
Mother's Name: Artemis Black
Siblings: Aiah Black -- sister
History:Adelaide was born into the Ancient and Noble House of Black and is the oldest of twins born to Sirius and Artemis Black. Adelaide grew up in Godric's Hallow with her sister Aiah. She barely remembers the Potters, especially Harry before meeting back up at Hogwarts, and Sirius since he was locked up in Azkaban shortly after visits to the Potters stopped. Growing in a single parent home with a sister, Adelaide spent her time with Aiah and the other children in Godric's Hallow. They had good contact with Andromeda, a cousin of theirs who had been rejected from the Black family for marrying a Muggle, and her husband Ted. During these early years, Adelaide and Aiah were spoiled up to a point by the Tonks, and had been given kid safe broomsticks. They grew up knowing of Harry Potter and what he did to Voldemort.
Also during these years, Adelaide and Aiah spent a month or two at the Malfoy Manor and was introduced to Draco. Perhaps the one reason she and Aiah were even permitted to go there was perhaps Lucius saw that they needed a proper father figure. Adelaide never saw anything that suggested that her relatives were involved with any Dark Arts. Then again, she was a child and wouldn't know. During those months, Adelaide would spend more time with Draco than with Aiah and would go to the Manor alone. Adelaide learned after the first visit that mentioning anything about Andromeda or her family was frown upon. At the age of ten, Adelaide was shown the tapestry that contained the Black family tree by Narcissa. It was explained to her that the black spots were once portraits of the family members that went against the family belief of pure bloods ruling over all others.
At the age of eleven, Adelaide and Aiah received their Hogwarts letters and got to go to Diagon Alley to get their supplies. It is there that they run into the Malfoys. Adelaide stood there and glared at Lucius, who was saying what a disgrace it was to have the bloodline of the Blacks be tainted by a mudblood. When she heard that, Adelaide went up to her uncle and stomped on his foot then had to be drawn back by Artemis (who was actually proud of Adelaide at that point), and told Lucius that she would be punished for the action. Instead, Adelaide and Aiah got to pick out their own Owls. They began their first year like everyone else on the Hogwarts Express and met Harry and Ron (who they were distantly related to).
In their first year, Adelaide heard what the three friends did, especially against the mountain troll and going after who they believe to be Snape and the Stone. Adelaide kept her relationship with Draco quiet when she became friends with the Trio. Granted her friendship with the three wasn't a close one like theirs was, but Adelaide was friends with them. In their second year, Adelaide didn't care much for Lockhart, and didn't put much stock in what he said he did or what he tried to teach. He tried telling her that she needed good marks in the class for a good job, but Adelaide basically told him off. The summer before her third year, Adelaide heard that there had been a break-out from Azkaban and learned that it was Sirius and that he was her father. She had heard what he had done and hated him for it. Most, if not all, of the wizarding world believed he was guilty. When he managed to get into Hogwarts, Adelaide wondered for the first time if the school was indeed as safe as it was made out to be.
Adelaide heard that Sirius was imprisoned in one of the Hogwarts towers and decided to take Aiah with her to see the man who had turned traitor against the Potters. Sirius had tried to convince them that he was innocent and that he would never do anything like that to his best friend and his family. It was there that Sirius was reunited with his daughters, who wanted nothing to do with him until he actually told them one of the stories that their mother had told them before they were born.
The twins were scared off when they heard someone coming and only saw in hiding that it was Harry and Hermione. The next morning, Adelaide heard that Sirius had somehow escaped and looked to where Harry and Hermione sat and wondered if they had something to do with that. When Adelaide and Aiah returned home, they found a black dog waiting for them. Adelaide was excited to have a household pet before it was revealed the dog was actually Sirius in his animagus form.
During that summer, Adelaide asked Remus to aid her in becoming an animagus. After some resistance, Adelaide got his help and began the lessons. The one highlight of the summer was the World Cup and got to go with her family. Of course, Lucius and Draco had to be there and threaten to ruin it. The one thing that did ruin it was the Death Eater attack afterward. The school year had the Triwizard Tournament, and Adelaide was busy with becoming an animagus. Of course she got told she shouldn't go through with it. It's around this time that Adelaide spent her entire summer at home instead of spending a couple weeks at the Manor.
By that summer, Adelaide had done all she could to becoming an animagus short of actually taking that transformation. Or so she thought. She spent countless hours with Remus on performing wandless and wordless spells. When the Order of the Phoenix was reformed, Adelaide and her family traveled to Number 12 and lived there for the school year. She and Aiah attempted to sneak into the meetings, but got kicked out more than they got in. She and Aiah stood up for Harry when he said that Voldemort was back, even if meant being laughed at for being crazy.
That school year passed quieter than the previous year for Adelaide and Aiah, though Adelaide was still busy trying to master wandless and wordless spells with Aiah. Though there was enemy in Umbridge and the majority of the students. Adelaide refused to do things her way and began skipping Defense class. With the exception of her second year, Defense class was one of her best ones. She joined the DA and was told not to mention anything about becoming an animagus. It was dangerous enough for her with Umbridge being at the school. By Christmas, Remus seemed convinced enough that she was ready to take her animagus form. With Remus' help, they watched Adelaide take the form of a black dog just a bit shorter than Sirius' own. When Umbridge became Headmistress, Adelaide managed to steal into her office and completely trash it. The common rumor she heard after that was that Sirius had gotten back into the castle after hearing what was going on.
When Harry got the vision that Sirius was at the Ministry later in the school year, Adelaide was the first to suggest that they go, not wishing to lose her father for the second time. Aiah didn't like the idea of taking off without making sure that he wasn't at either Number 12 or their home in Godric's Hallow. Adelaide couldn't wait and went with some of the DA to the Ministry and was involved in the battle, fighting off the Death Eaters until some of the Order arrived. She was standing near Sirius when Bellatrix somehow pushed him into the veil. Adelaide had to be held back so she wouldn't try and save Sirius from falling back into the veil.
That summer, Adelaide became depressed, as did Aiah, about the loss of their father and wouldn't do her normal things during the summer. Not even Artemis could cheer Adelaide up. The school year began somberly for the twins, especially Adelaide who had spent so much time with Sirius. She did try out for Gryffindor Quidditch team and made Chaser. She did wish that Sirius was alive to share to the news with; though she did send an owl home to Artemis about the news.
Now at Hogwarts, Adelaide saw the Elementals emerge. She didn't see any problem with it at first. But when she learned that some were her friends, or people she saw as people as she could trust, she didn't want anything to do with them. Especially those that were in Gryffindor.
Animagus History: After learning Sirius was an animagus, Adelaide began learning how to become one the summer before her fourth year. She had thought she would begin trying to take animal form before school began that September, but instead began learning wordless magic. It seemed like she had her father's nack for not being able to perform such magic. But as the summer went on, Adelaide began doing better. She was instructed to continue practicing once she returned to Hogwarts. She spent as much time as she could amidst school work and the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Even during the fall term, Adelaide found it difficult to perform the magic, but put her heart into her practices, determined to get it.
Adelaide wanted to make sure that she could perform the wordless magic by the time Christmas came around, she could show how much she improved since the summer. During the Christmas break, Adelaide was tested on how well her wordless magic worked. When Remus deemed that she was adequate with the magic - though he did tell her that she should still continue to practice being her father's daughter - he told her to take the time and actually evaluate her personality. That alone took her to the summer holidays.
Adelaide spent a few weeks at the Malfoy Manor and kept her wordless practice secret from everyone, especially Draco. Other than Aiah, Draco was the one person Adelaide would tell any of her secrets. But her animagus one one she wouldn't tell anyone outside her immediate family. When she was at home that summer, Adelaide spent her time thinking about her personality and wondered what kind of animal she would turn into due to it. Fifth year began and Umbridge threatened Adelaide's animagus training. When the DA formed, Adelaide put aside her personal training to fight. She saw that the protection of the school and the younger students were more important than her becoming an animagus. During a free period, Adelaide used the Room of Requirement to take her animagus form.
She took her form and felt nothing was out of place and saw herself as an Irish Wolfhound about a half-shoulder shorter than Sirius in his own animagus form. She used it one other time in the school and that was when she attempted to trash Umbridge's office. Adelaide used her form at the Ministry until they reached the Death Chamber and took her human form and fought along side Sirius and Harry.

Roleplay Sample: Adelaide sat on her bed, staring at nothing in particular in her darkened room. She rarely left it now, and not even a game of fetch with Aiah would get her spirits up. The death of Sirius had hit the family of three hard, and Adelaide especially so. She had spent countless days with him on the course of becoming an illegal animagus. But that didn't save him from being killed by their cousin in the Death Chamber a few weeks ago. Adelaide wished she hadn't gone to the Ministry and somehow convince Harry not to go as well. But it was all hindsight now and nothing could bring back the dead. Adelaide knew that in the back of her mind. A knock at the bed room door preceded it opening to reveal Andromeda.
"Mind if I come in?"
Adelaide grunted a yes and Andromeda walked, closing the door behind her and sat on the bed.
"Aiah told me what happened."
"He was suppose to have been there being tortured by Voldemort," Adelaide said, on the verge of tears. "But he wasn't and he came to rescue our dumb asses. If we hadn't gone..." A tear ran down Adelaide's cheek. "After all that he did for us, how could we have done that?" Adelaide couldn't stop the tears and felt herself being pulled toward Andromeda, now crying her eyes out.
"There was no way for you to have known that was a trap, child." Andromeda rubbed Adelaide's back. "What you and Aiah can do now is to live up to Sirius' name and make sure that you stay alive to see the end of this war."
Adelaide pulled away. "But it's our fault he came."
Andromeda put a hand to her cousin's face, a sad look on her face. "He came to protect you, your sister, Harry, and the other students that were there. Would you have him stay behind while his children and godson were in mortal danger?"
Adelaide sniffed and wiped away the tears from her eyes. "No."
"Then don't punish yourself over what you have no control over." Andromeda stood and offered a hand to Adelaide. "Come, I believe that there are some people waiting out in the living room for you."
Adelaide stared at the offered hand for a minute or two, pondering whether or not to accept it and see what was waiting. In the end, she took it and stood, walking with Andromeda from the room.
